External Amiga Floppy Controller

 

 

Introduction

GOAL: Create a USB-attached Windows-based external Amiga floppy drive controller and associated PC software.

 

BACKGROUND : After looking at Marco Veneri's dated Amiga Floppy Reader project, I wanted to make something that was fresh, new, and updated. This project's goal has changed over the last 6-8 months because I've run into various limitations which have forced me to change directions.

I want to be able to read amiga floppy disks directly from a PC via USB. The graphic below should explain what I'm looking to do and what pieces and parts I'm using to make it happen.
